During whole year there are many manifestations in Bijeljina such as: cultural, sport, fair, village, ethno and gastro manifestations, which have huge role in promotion of natural and cultural potentials of Bijeljina.


These are most important:

1-Festival ” With knowledge, songs and dance through Semberija “ in villages of Bijeljina municipality.
Short description: 

This is most visited cultural manifestation in Bijeljina municipality, which affirm national creations, national sports, grow healthy competitive spirit between young players, cultural- art amateurism and creations and develops cultural continuity in villages, social activities and nurses the tradition, but also assembles young people.

Patron: Municipal Parliament o Bijeljina and donations
Organizers: The Serbian Culture and Art Society “Semberija” Bijeljina, Sebian Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” Bijeljina, local organization boards.
Participants: Local Communities in Municipality of Bijeljina.
Date of event: Every weekend from December to March.
In 2007 festival celebrated 40 years of existence, and in 2008/2009   will be organized jubilee 30th festival. This festival is one with longest tradition in republic of Srpska and BiH.

2- “The May Choir Festival “: Cultural event
Patron: Municipal Parliament o Bijeljina and Ministry of Education
Organizer: Serbian Choir Society “Srbadija”
Participants: Music school, choirs from RS, BiH, Serbia and other countries
Date of event: From 01. to 15. May in Bijeljina

3-“ International Fair of Books “- Fair and Culture event of exhibition and sale character of books, teaching appliance and graphic industry.
Patron- Municipal Parliament o Bijeljina and Ministry of Education and Culture
Organizer- People’s Library  “ Filip Visnjic “ and “ Grad “ Bijeljina
Participants: Publishing companies, manufacturing companies and companies in graphic industry.
Date of event- First half in May
time of duration- 7 days in Bijeljina at Market Fair Centre

4-“ Golden pot of Semberija “- Sport- fishing and tourist event with competitive character in making fish soup and fishing with floats.
Patron: Municipality of Bijeljina and Fishing Society “ Riba”
Organizer: Fishing Society “ Riba” and Tourist organization of Bijeljina.
Date of event- Last weekend in June.
Place of event-  “ Five Lakes” Bijeljina
This event has lasted successfully for 12 years.


5- Celebrity of Bijeljina municipality “ St. Pantelejmon “
There are different events: sport/ tennis, volleyball, basketball, football and snooker tournament, championship in swimming and diving and “ Regatta on the river Drina Bijeljina 2008”; cultural- International Festival of Folk Dance “ Rhythm of Europe“, literature evenings in library, exhibitions of pictures in gallery and museum, violine and bagging festival and  Pantelin fair.

6- Moto-fest “Days of Storm”- Sport-recreate manifestation
Patron: Municipal Parliament of Bijeljina,moto club “Knez” and donations
This event has lasted for 19 years.
Number of participants is about 300 in last few years.
Date of event- 01. and 02. August in Bijeljina.

7-“Assembly of hunters in Republic of Srpska “- Sport-hunting and exhibition and tourist manifestation
Patron- Hunting Society “ Semberija” and Tourist organization of Bijeljina.
Participants: Hunting Society, manufacturers of hunting equipment
Date of event: Last weekend in August
Place of event:  “Five lakes” in Bijeljina
This event has lasted for two years.

8-“ International Agricultural Fair “- Industry manifestation with exhibition, competitive and sale character of agricultural products and machines, bee’s products and meat products.
Patron- Ministry of Agriculture and Municipality of Bijeljina.
Date of event- Second half in September
Place of event- Market Fair Centre in Bijeljina
Participants: Agricultural manufacturers, Societies of agricultural manufacturers and farmers, Societies of  bee- products manufacturers, meat industry, manufacture of fodder and livestock rearing and plant protection

9-    “ Visnjic’s Days “- Cultural manifestations dedicated to blind poem Filip Visnjic , who was born and lived in  Semberija. Content of manifestation are many literature and poem nights, art and literature exhibitions of participants of primary and secondary schools.
Patron: Ministry of Education and Municipality f Bijeljina
Organizer: People’s Library  “ Filip Višnjić” and Sebian Educational and Cultural Society “Prosvjeta” Bijeljina
Participants: Library, museum, gallery, Art Societies, and pupils of primary and secondary schools.
Date of event: From 01. to 08. November
This event has lasted for 15 years.

10- “ Mitrovdan Fair “- Industry manifestation with exhibition and competitive character. There are agricultural products, meat and food industry, specific national meals, exhibitions of cattle, concerts of local folk groups etc.
First time in 2007 in this manifestation is held “ Kupusijada- cabbage competition” which was created by Tourist organization of Bijeljina and which was approved by all participants of this manifestation. Semberija and Bijeljina are famous by large production of qualitative cabbage and meals prepared of cabbage.
